PERCIO MCP · WHAT LEAVES YOUR MACHINE

Your repo stays home. Only the test leaves.

The MCP server never reads your repository or sends file contents. For localhost it opens one guarded tunnel to one origin, and closes it when the run ends.

YOUR MACHINE · STAYS HERE

  • your repositorynot read
  • file contentsnever sent
  • your .envnot read
  • localhost:3000the one origin

WHAT CROSSES · THE WHOLE LIST

  • url
  • mission
  • stop condition
  • scenario
  • persona id
  • project id

+ credentials, only if you type them

Stored encrypted, used by the runner in flight, wiped when the run ends. Never echoed back.

PERCIO · THE TUNNEL

  • One origin; everything else answers 404
  • Admits only Percio's own infrastructure
  • Closes when the run ends
  • Can't be guarded? The run is refused, and nothing is billed

WORKFLOWS

Ask for a test the way you'd ask a teammate.

Plain words in your agent's chat. It drafts the test, you approve it, Percio runs it, and the findings come back to the same thread.

THE TOOLS

What your agent can call.

Eight tools, and not one of them drives a browser. Your agent picks the tool; you say what you want in plain words.

Approve, then launch

Nothing starts until you approve the wording. The launch must use exactly what you approved, or the server names the field that drifted.

Read a page before testing it

Clean markdown of a page, so your agent can shape the scenario without starting a run.

SETUP

Connected in three steps.

One config entry, one key from your account, then ask. Nothing to install for localhost.

mcp.json

"percio": {
  "command": "npx",
  "args": ["-y", "@percio/mcp"],
  "env": { "PERCIO_API_KEY": "prc_…" }
}

01

Add the entry

Paste it in your client's MCP config (.cursor/mcp.json, .mcp.json or claude_desktop_config.json), then restart. Same release as Docker.

Ask for a test

If your personas come back, you're connected. From here it's one sentence per test, and one credit per run.

PERSONAS

Your personas, inside your agent.

Every persona saved in your account is one sentence away. Need someone new? Describe them in the chat and create_persona builds them.

saved

“Where do I even start? I’ll read everything first.”

First-time visitor

“I have four patients waiting. Just tell me where to click.”

Clinic receptionist, 50s

  • in a hurry

saved

“Where’s the keyboard shortcut for this?”

Power user

Lives in the product every day

  • impatient
  • skips tooltips

create_persona

Someone new?

“A procurement lead who has to justify every tool to finance.” A short chat turns that into a persona.

“I’ll do it on my phone, on the bus, with one thumb.”

Mobile native

  • scans, doesn’t read

READING THE RESULT

Severity is about what the persona did.

Not how bad the pixel looked. Your agent relays the judgement as written, with the score's confidence next to it.

  • CRITICALAbandoned the task here, or finished it wrongly without noticing.
  • HIGHGot through, but only after a wrong turn, a retry, or help they wouldn't normally have.
  • MEDIUMHesitated and had to reason it out. The cost is time and confidence.
  • LOWNoticed it and was mildly annoyed. Completion was unaffected.

"Not scorable" is not a zero

A run with nothing grounded to score says so, and is never shown as 0.

Abandoned is not failed

An environment fault ends the run with no score, and the credit comes back.

FAQ

Questions developers ask.

No. The repository is not read and no file contents are sent. What leaves is the URL, the mission, the stop condition, the scenario, the persona and project ids, and credentials only if you type them in the chat.
